BBC boss blasts critics
The man who is leading the BBC’s move to Salford has hit out against a ‘pathetic’ slur campaign against the north. Peter Salmon, director of BBC North, took the extraordinary step of speaking out after a series of ‘grim up north’ stories in the national press claimed there was a revolt among staff unprepared to give up their London homes for MediaCity.
